hi all..for the benefit of those who missed the OSIM triathlon briefing today:1. we are supposed to collect our volunteer attire (2 new balance shirts, 2 shorts/berms,2 pairs of socks) on 29 or 30 june
-Venue: Furama Riverfront, Race Secretariat (Former Appollo Hotel, supposedly near Zouk)
-Time: 10 am to 12 noon, 2 to 7 pm
2. Reporting time for race day: 5.00am at Volunteers Tent near ECP Carpark E2
3. Basically we're supposed to make sure the swimmers dun stray away...and must be alert and look out fer pple in distress..(they made it sound like many pple will be in distress leh!)yar...den they just said how impt it was fer us to do our job well and stuff lar..we'll be given our volunteer allowance after the races end on the 3rd. fer both days, we end ard 1 plus 2? but we can actually leave once we've finished our job but they say if can stay and help even better lar. There will be a baggage deposit so dun worry abt belongings (but they said its better to bring a waterproof pouch to hold ur valuables and bring it with u..sigh...i dun have leh..)
4. we'll have 3 meals...5am-breakfast, 9am-tea break, 1pm-lunch..but have to like take shifts lar...
5.bring cap and sunblock plus sunglasses if u want...
6. Those who din come for briefing, pls check ur emails in case the person sends some stuff...(note: u mite find it in ur junk..cos i found it in mine..)
hmm...any other questions maybe can ask me, fionash or huiqi cos only 3 of us went fer the thing today...anyway, we realised its a pity to miss the IOC volunteer thing...cos we mite get to see some big shots (eg..David Beckham...haha...he's coming to support london's bid rite?correct me if i'm wrong..haha..)
